Grace of Being Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy designed for injury prevention and recovery. With Swedish massage combined with sports and therapeutic massage techniques, your body is in good hands to take on that next marathon, recover your flexibility, relieve muscular pain, and even prevent excessive scar tissue formation after injury. MVAs, sports injuries, and repetitive strain injuries all can benefit from remedial massage therapy. Note* be prepared for a homecare plan, stretching and strengthening at home is a big part of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Recommended time: 90 mins, plus 20 mins daily homecare.

Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage

Relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle, flowing style that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension, and improves circulation and movement range. Your therapist will aim to relax, revive and rejuvenate you at a massage depth that creates comfort.

Relaxation Massage Therapy

This combo session uses the wisdom of relaxation massage in combination with effective therapeutic massage techniques to support good posture, injury recovery or prevention, joint mobility, and healthy muscle tone. Not all therapeutic work is deep, and sometimes we need a gentle intervention to be most effective. 
This session is a good fit for those with recent or acute injuries, anxiety/PTSD, or those with sensitive nervous systems who need a lighter touch. 

Relaxation/Therapeutic Massage

Prenatal massages are more gentle than other types of massages, but they still offer many benefits. Prenatal massages are tailored to the needs of the pregnant person and their changing body, and therapists trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly. 
Postpartum massages relax muscles, increase circulation, and lower stress hormones, bringing both physical and emotional relief. Some people prefer a light-touch massage, while others opt for a deeper massage that reaches further into the muscles and soft tissues of the body for more complete healing.

Prenatal/Postnatal Massage Therapy

A gentle blend of relaxation massage and reiki energy transfer technique relaxes you into the the natural flow of energy throughout the body system. All the benefits of reiki, including expanded states of awareness and depth through the emotional and mental aspects, clarity, vision, nervous system regulation, increased immune function, pain management, grief and emotional support, rehabilitation support, and decreased healing time, all within the context of a relaxation massage. 
For these sessions you have the option to undress to receive oil massage, or leave clothes on for compression through clothing massage.  Truly deep relaxation.

Combo Massage and Reiki Therapy

A relatively new practice, founded and developed by Mikao Usui, this gentle energy transfer technique relaxes one into the the natural flow of energy throughout the body system. Encouraging states of awareness and depth through the emotional and mental aspects, clarity, vision, increased adaptability and movement, increased immune function, pain management, grief and emotional support, rehabilitation support for injuries and decreased healing time, and for some a space into which it may be possible to encounter personal experiences of the numinous. 
What to expect: This practice is done fully clothed on a massage table, and does not require any specific belief system to receive benefit. Recommended time: 60 mins.

Reiki

Myofascial cupping is a soft tissue therapy that involves the application of decompressed cups on the skin, creating a vacuum effect that lifts up tissues such as the fascia (connective tissue) and muscles, blood and other fluid, close to the surface of the skin. Cupping rapidly loosens the fascia and muscles, stimulating blood flow to the area, and quickly reducing pain. 
Practitioners may use plastic, silicone or glass cups to create suction that releases the connective tissue that may be restricting movement, or causing discomfort. 
Cupping is performed within the context of a therapeutic massage, so practitioners will use the cupping alongside therapeutic massage techniques.
